Diptych pendant, made in Germany, c.1450-80 (source). On the interior are the Virgin of the Apocalypse and the Crucifixion, and on the exterior are the Annunciation and Nativity. The Latin inscriptions read: ‘Hail, Queen of Mercy/ My Lord and my God/ Hail blessed Jesus Christ, born of the Virgin Mary/ I commend me to thee, pious virgin and mother’.
